So E doesn’t crawl anymore really…he’s such a big boy now! He is totally attached to his blankets these days, he walks around with them everywhere he goes (as long as it has silk on it, he’ll take it)…it’s really cute now, but I am sure when he’s walking around with a noopy and blanket when he’s like 6 I will think otherwise…He still repeats everything we say, he LOVES to talk. And he loves to sing wow wow wubbzy, it’s adorable!

We are leaving for Las Vegas with Michael’s family on Sunday, and it is going to be so hard to leave him for so long! We come back on the 3rd (which just happens to be our court date, YAY) and then will leave 4-8 weeks later to get Olive. We are going to bring our laptop and camera so we can Skype with E while we are in Vegas, but I am worried it might make him miss us a lot…we’ll see how it goes. I have a feeling we won’t have that luxury while in Ethiopia though…we should be pretty busy so maybe we wont’ have time to miss him too much (HA, that’s impossible!)

Ender is 15 months now…and he has finally decided he feels like walking! He started last night…we were eating dinner w/josh, nichole, steven, ashlyn and mitch trying out a restaurant for Josh and Angela for catering ideas for their wedding (yay!). Me and Ashlyn were outside with E b/c he was cranky in the restaurant, and he started walking! He was so proud of himself, so he kept going and going! It took him a while, but he loves to walk now! We are so proud of him…he’s growing up so fast! His favorite words are “woah” and “hot”oh, and “bookay” which means book in Ender’s language! When he wants to get down and walk he says “walka”…he’s halarious!

Please be praying for Eli, he goes to the neurologist tomorrow to see the severity of his condition…pray that he does not need surgery and that he will be healed and have no symptoms. Pray for strength for Nichole and Steven, and wisdom for them.

Here is Ender’s reaction to the pictures of his new little sister: april-09-olive-referral-073.JPG. He loves her!

He is growing up so much lately. He is trying to start walking…he will take a few steps every once in a while. He repeats everything we say…our little parrot! He loves to be outside, he points outside and says “side”.

We found out today that our dossier is finished being translated and they are applying for a court date for us. We should find out when our court date is in the next week or two. They said we will get a June, July or August court date.

I started a temporary blog for the adoption ethiopianolive.blogspot.com. Uncle Josh is going to make us one for Olive, but I made this one for now. I feel bad that I have been stealing E’s blog for O, so check out our other blog.

We received our referral yesterday and are THRILLED!!!! She couldn’t be more perfectly beautiful! Her eyes are big and gorgeous, her lips are so cute and pouty….she is more than I could have imagined! She and E will only be like 11 months and a week apart…yay for having 2 two year olds for 3 weeks!!!

We are sending off our paperwork to offically accept our referral and then we wait to hear our court date….we should know in 3-6 weeks, so we will keep you posted!

E went to the dr. again today b/c he had fever and was pulling on his ears…another ear infection…it seems that every time we go to the dr. we are there a few days later w/an ear infection! It’s like Ender’s little pattern that he has (he must secretly love going to visit the dr b/c they give him all their attention

We showed Ender the pictures of Olive and he said “Hey!” and kissed her!! It melted my heart! Then he kept saying “baby!” So sweet….

So yesterday we went to bring a form and schedule and appointment to be fingerprinted with the CIS. The lady that worked there was really rude and I was aggravated when we left. We were still in the parking garage leaving, and I got a phone call from our adoption coordinator asking if we’d be interested in a baby girl born in early February. I couldn’t think of what to say, I was speechless! I asked Michael “would we be interested in a baby girl born in early Feb.” and he said “umm…yeah!” So she said they would be emailing us our offical referral tomorrow (which is today) or by Wednesday (tomorrow) at the latest. We haven’t heard anything today, so we won’t see our baby girl’s face until tomorrow, and I am SOOOO SO anxious…

E is starting to feel better…he’s still not totally well from this croup crap yet…hopefully soon!

I won’t be able to post any info or pictures of our little Olive until she is safe at home with us….but I will still keep you updated on the process!

So last night was crazy! Michael was at a wedding and I put E to bed at 7:30 and watched tv for a while. At around 9:30 I went to check on him and he was sitting up in his bed wheezing and couldn’t catch his breath. I rushed around trying to find my phone and get dressed, and ended up heading to the er. I couldn’t get in touch with Michael because he and his parents were all at weddings. I talked to my mom and she and Mrs. Barbara headed this way. The Dr. said he has croop, and that it will be bad for a few days, and gave him a dose of a steroid. He felt so much better once we left the hospital…his cough was a lot looser and he was breathing so much better (the steroid must have worked!) Anyway….he slept with us last night (or should I say this morning since we went to bed at like 2 am)!! He has been a lot better today….have to keep him home for the weekend and go to the pediatrician Mon.

And here are some pictures of E swimming in his frog pool the Monday (taken on my iphone…that’s right, I have a new phone which I love and don’t know how I ever lived without!)

Our dossier is sent off to IAG and hopefully heading to Ethiopia. We just wait now….and wait…..and wait…..and wait!

*why are all my pictures sideways….i don’t have photo editing software on my laptop…go figure
